Joy obtained her real estate license in Virginia in 1984, and her broker’s license in 1987. Her first career on St. Thomas was a Sales Associate at Amsterdam Sauer, an upscale island jewelry company. It wasn’t too long until Joy was missing her love of real estate, and obtained her Virgin Islands real estate Broker’s license. She has been working with local and stateside clients ever since to help them live their dreams!

She has earned Coldwell Banker’s President’s Elite award and was recognized as one of the top agents nationally while licensed in Virginia, and she set her goal of achieving even more while being a Broker/Agent at Coldwell Banker on St. Thomas. Joy did just that and won the top company sales award which earned her Coldwell Banker’s International President’s Elite and Previews Property Specialist status. (Less than 3% of all agents ever achieve and maintain this level of professionalism in real estate.) She’s taken her years of knowledge, education, & working relationships and formed Island Dreams Real Estate.

Joy is an active member of the St. Thomas Bridge Club, Salvation Army Advisory Board, and St Thomas Humane Society, and believes in giving back to the community.

Continuing education is a must in Joy’s career. She has earned her CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), GRI (Graduate Realtors Institute), ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative) and RSPS (Resort and Second Home Property Specialist) designations from the National Association of Realtors. Joy attends real estate seminars and conventions throughout the year, networking with other top agents & staying in touch with new technology and ideas. She prides herself on continuing her education of the real estate market and the continuing changes and challenges it has.
